Projects with a Purpose, LLC
About
Tena Woenker was inspired to start Projects with a Purpose, LLC in 2013 to help nonprofit organizations make a positive change in the community, or for their organization, by helping them identify and address their needs and aspirations for specific projects. She realized that many organizations and municipal departments do not have the capacity to create new events, develop new programs, or obtain and manage the funding needed for a new infrastructure project.
Usually working with a committee or staff members, Projects with a Purpose will provide guidance and logistical support in areas such as project management, fundraising, and community organizing. Once strategies are planned to facilitate the engagement process, Projects with a Purpose will oversee implementation, help build relationships, and foster collaborations to bring ideas to fruition.
Tena Woenker is the sole proprietor of Projects with a Purpose, LLC. She has worked for nonprofit organizations that serve communities, including economic development, arts and culture, and downtown districts for more than 25 years. For the past 10 years, Tena has managed small municipalities and their projects.
Tena became an Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs Official Certified Grant Administrator in 2022. She has secured and managed dozens of grants totaling more than $4.5 million. Her experiences in fundraising and event management have been the highlights of her career - and inspired the launch of Projects with a Purpose. Tena is driven by a passion to serve local, charitable missions and to support municipalities. Her professional relationships across multiple sectors in Northeast Indiana includes a network of peers and sub-contractors who can provide additional expertise as required to succeed.
